FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   How far in advance should I book my wedding make up/hair trial?

A:  It is suggested that you schedule your trial at least 5-6 months prior to your wedding date.

Q:  Is a trial necessary?

A:  In order to ensure the perfect look for your wedding day, the bride must arrange for a trial, we don’t accept the case without doing trial session ( bride) only.

Q: What happens at the trial session?

A:  The trial session is of outmost importance to us. We will begin with a 10 minute consultation; we request that you collect sample photos of the style of makeup, hair, dress and wedding day colors to bring to the trial session. Having your veil and hair accessories is recommended but no required. We will then re-create the look you desire for your wedding day. Lastly, a photo-shoot of the final look for our file and reference.  Approximately 2 and half  hours per trial session.

Q:   How many looks are included in the trial?

A:  One  look.  The consultation will consist of a complete make-up application and hair style/up-do ( More than 2 hours). If you require another trial at a later day, the additional trial fee is $150.

Your input is very important to me, so we can make small adjustments during this process.

You are more than welcome to bring photographs of the desired hair style and/or makeup.  In addition, pictures of the wedding gown, bridesmaid dresses, accessories, and other details of the wedding are extremely helpful in creating your ultimate look.

Q:  Can I use my trial for my engagement session?

A: Yes, but we don’t recommend it, unless you wish to have the same wedding look in your engagement pictures. We offer separate photo session hair & makeup services for $250. The trial is specifically designed for the wedding day while the engagement session may involve a more casual look.  Since the two styles are so different, I discourage using the trial for your engagement photos.

Q:  How far in advance should I book for the wedding day?

A:  I am usually booked months or a year in advance, so it is best to contact me as soon as you know your wedding date.  A 50% deposit will be required to secure the spot.

Q:  How come I cannot book trials on weekends?

A:  Most wedding day events are scheduled on weekends, so we will typically be completely booked.  Due to limited time availability, the trial can only be scheduled on WEEKDAYS. Sorry, but there are no exceptions.

Q:   What do I need to prepare for the trial?

A:  * Please wash your hair the NIGHT BEFORE the trial. The hair must be completely dry prior to the trial.

* Wear a low- collared and  light color top. Tube tops are preferred.

* Provide as much information about the wedding details as possible (i.e. wedding gown, theme colors, pictures of sample hair styles/makeup) so we can create a look that best suits you and your preferences.
